This pamphlet from the Public Legal Education and Information Service of New Brunwick examines spanking, a form of physical discipline known as corporal punishment.The purpose of this pamphlet is to review recent Court decisions on the use physical discipline towards children by parents and guardians. It provides general information on the topic and discusses Section 43 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
